How ChoiceFate works

ChoiceFate turns a hard decision into a fair, local draw and then keeps a record of what you did with it. Everything runs on your device.

• Describe the choice. Say it as one line of speech or type it — for example, “I can't decide whether to eat noodles or rice tonight.”
• Confirm the question and options. The app proposes a question and an option list (using a local, on-device extractor). You review, edit, add, or remove options, then confirm. Nothing is randomized until you confirm.
• Draw. One paper ball per confirmed option, all identical, so no ball reveals anything by its look. You tap one and it unfolds to show the result — which was already decided and committed before the reveal, so no gesture or animation can change it.
• Decide and record. Mark whether you followed the pick, note the decision you actually made, and later add what happened. Your history can be searched, archived, reviewed, and deleted — all locally.

Frequently asked questions

Does my data leave my device?

Not through ChoiceFate. There is no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no ads. Voice is handled by your phone's on-device speech recognition and the audio is not stored. On Android, the release build does not declare an internet permission, so the app cannot reach the network. See the Privacy Policy for the precise boundaries.

Is the result truly random?

Yes. Every confirmed option is equally likely. The app uses the platform's secure random source and an unbiased selection method. The result is committed to your device before the reveal animation plays.

Does ChoiceFate recommend the “best” answer?

No. ChoiceFate makes no judgment, gives no advice, and never predicts or guarantees outcomes. The result is random by design.

Is it suitable for important decisions?

It is intended for low-stakes choices you have trouble deciding: what to eat, where to go, what to do this weekend. It is not for medical, legal, financial, or other high-stakes decisions, and the result is not professional advice. Please use your own judgment.

Can I use it offline?

Yes. Typing, randomizing, saving, history, archiving, review, and deletion all work without a network. Voice input uses the on-device recognizer; if it is unavailable or permission is denied, you can always type instead.

How do I delete my data?

Delete a single record or all your data in the app. Deletion is confirmed before it happens. It clears the app's local database and related files; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is and isn't cleared.

What are the system requirements?

iPhone, iPad, and Android. Voice recognition works on devices and languages supported by the system's on-device recognizer; otherwise the app falls back to typed input.
